Night Watch: RAMALLAH – AKI, quoting unnamed sources interviewed by the pan-Arab Al-Quds Al-Arabi, reports Israel has informed the Palestinian Authority in its West Bank capital Ramallah, that Israel has scheduled its invasion of Gaza for after the November 26 peace conference in the U. S. Jerusalem will use the operation to regain control of the Philadelphi Corridor, the transit between Gaza and the Sinai peninsula. If Israel can do so then it will enable them to cut off a lot of the arms smuggling from Egypt to Gaza through the Sinai, including the use of tunnels. Money is also transferred to Palestinian militant units through the same network. But I will be very surprised if Tehran allows Jerusalem to operate on its own timetable. I suspect Iran will have not only Palestinian groups increase their Qassam and mortar attacks from Gaza, but also instruct Hezbollah in Lebanon to begin attacks again to the extent it will force Israel to respond defensively as last year. But the next wave of major fighting will be even more heavy than last year and designed to impact more than Israel. [AKI]

It will be more widespread this year not only when Tehran-Damascus enter, but also when Egypt President Hosni Mubarak responds to the threat from increased Islamic radicalism in Egypt by declaring war on Iran and have the Egyptian military units loyal to him attack Iranian forces in the immediate area. Mubarak is however surrounded by governments that support Iran and the Jihad; Libya, Sudan and Saudi Arabia and they will concentrate more on removing Mubarak than on Jerusalem. In the meantime the West will be unable to assist him because European units serving with UNIFIL in south Lebanon will also be under fire and Tehran will have UK/US bases in Iraq under constant missile attack from Iran. Under no circumstances does Iran want the West responding offensively. Concerning Gaza Hamas leader Mahmoud al-Zahar was quoted in the Jerusalem Post warning, “Whoever enters Gaza will leave it in pieces.” From Tehran’s preparations and planning, for more than twenty years, Iran’s government obviously wants more than just Gaza to experience enormous destruction.

Sara Mountains – The linked photo from MakFax is just a microcosm of the enormous amount of weaponry Tehran has exported to Southeast Europe to any group or government opposed to the military presence of NATO, the European Union (EU) and the UN. Thirteen men were also arrested in the Macedonian police operation Mountain Storm. As you can see from the photo enough weapons were seized to equip a small army. Some of the weapons put on display were: mortars, more than a hundred grenades, two recoilless rifles, electronically guided anti-tank missile system Fagot, four anti-air missiles and rocket propelled grenades. This is just a small list, many more are mentioned in the linked article. Tehran exports weapons to more than sixty governments and countless nationalistic-extremist groups. Crisis and chaos creation has been and remains central to Tehran’s foreign policy. Tehran finds it not only weakens the enemy but strengthens Iran. [MAKFAX]

Skopje – AKI reports military-political analysts, based in Skopje and Belgrade are acknowledging the recent firefight in Macedonia signals a wider conflict. As the seized weapons were put on display in Skopje for Foreign Military Attaches, a military analyst based in Belgrade, Miroslav Lazanski observed a chain reaction of conflict will take place and expand beyond Kosovo if it achieves independence bascially because it will encourage other Albanian communities in Greece-Macedonia-Montenegro to declare their independence. Lazanski is warning about what he called a “high tide of violence and separatists ambitions. When you encourage one, others come forward with the same demands and they will not stop until they are all united in a Greater Albania.” [AKI]

Another anlayst Aleksandar Radic commented, “What’s common for all Albanian political organizations, is that they are part of a single Albanian national plan in the Balkans.” This is the most deluded, unrealistic nationalistic vision on the European continent and that is precisely the reason Tehran has armed it in order to force NATO-EU to keep confronting endless nationalistic wars.
