US Strongly Condemns Twin Attacks in Norway

Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton expressed condemnation on recent attacks in Oslo and Utoya Island.

“We stand with the people of Norway in this moment of sorrow and offer our deepest sympathies to the families and loved ones of those injured and killed.” -Ms. Clinton

She stressed the United States condemns all forms of violence against the innocent, wherever it occurs. She highlighted the U.S. government will continue to work with the international community to combat violence that threatens peace-loving people everywhere.

“The United States will continue to consult closely with our Norwegian partners as the investigation unfolds. We remain ready to support the Norwegian Government as it seeks to bring the perpetrators of this violence to justice.” -Ms. Clinton
