The Inspiration Behind Inspire Cosmetics

CANADA (Sasha Stoltz Publicity): The official cosmetics line at this year’s Planet Africa Awards, the name Inspire says it all for motivational speaker and model Wendy Crystal and full-time soccer mom Tanya, as these longtime best friends continues to be for women everywhere since this labor of love took fruition in 2008.

Garrett Godwin: What are the ingredients both of you ladies bring to make Inspire Cosmetics successfully after three years — especially in this recession?

Wendy Crystal: We are dedicated to providing high quality, easy to use products to inspire women to look and feel

beautiful, giving them the confidence to achieve success in their lives. Women always want to feel beautiful!

GG: It seems like you make it so easy to maintain your 27-year friendship AND your company at the same time. What’s the secret?

WC: The secret is dedication, loyalty, honesty and working hard together to Inspire women.

GG: Why the long wait, if there was such one, to start Inspire Cosmetics?

WC: As soon as we came to the realization that we wanted to develop a high quality cosmetic line, we began the research & development process, taking our time to ensure that the level of quality we were aiming for was attainable, as we would not have settled for anything less. The process of product testing, market testing, development, etc., took a couple of years before we were ready to launch our company earlier this year.

GG: How can your company “change the face of cosmetics”? What sets Inspire Cosmetics apart from the big names?

WC: Superior quality, vitamin enriched products that promote skin health, are easy to use and a simple selection are what sets us apart from some of the big name companies.

GG: Who are the celebrities among us that have Inspire Cosmetics, and what response did you get from them?

WC: We’ve received incredibly positive response from all of the celebrity clients that have tried our products. Specific feedback has been that our products provide a flawless, natural look that feels light and breathable and has actually improved moisture and complexion issues. With HD being an issue right now in the entertainment industry, Inspire Cosmetics offers a foundation free way to looking flawless, we have a fabulous HD powder to help create the perfect face with out the tradition weight effect of cosmetics. Celebrity clients include… Tonya Lee Williams (Dr. Olivia Winters, The Young and the Restless), Tre Armstrong (choregrapher, So You Think You Can Dance Canada?), Samantha Gudstat (actress, TV host in L.A), Nazneen Contractor (Actress, 24), Kelly Carese (Actress, T.V host), and many more Canadian actors from shows like Rookie Blue and Degrassi.

GG: Wendy, as one of the judges for Next Top Model Finalist, what does it take for the winner to be the face of Inspire Cosmetics?

WC: What it is going to take to become the next face of Inspire Cosmetics is some who exudes confidence, a fresh clean face, a great personality and someone who defines Inspiration for women. (Update: Sabrina and Irena both became the face for Inspire Cosmetics)

GG: What’s next you and Inspire Cosmetics for the rest of 2011?

WC: Inspire has a few more exciting events lined up for the rest of 2011 including the National Women’s Show, West of the City Girl’s Night Out and a few smaller women’s events that we’re psyched about. Inspiring women at these great events is what inspires and motivates us! We’re also working on developing our products for next season and working towards the exciting opportunities that the upcoming year has in store for us!
