ABOUT Willie Aames

Willie Aames is best known for playing Buddy Lembeck on the hit sitcom Charles in Charge, which aired from 1984-1990. Aames began acting in the early 1970’s and was apart of numerous television series and Blockbuster films.

In 1977, he landed the role of Tommy Bradford in the sitcom Eight is Enough. During this period, he formed a rock band called “Willie Aames & Paradise,” where he was lead singer/guitarist.

In the 1980’s, Aames picked up a drug and alcohol habit that he has struggled to kick for over twenty years. In the 1990’s, Aames became a born-again Christian and ordained minister, but hard times continued to haunt him.

In 2005, Aames appeared on Celebrity Fit Club 2, where he lost 19 pounds and became one of the most infamous contestants to appear on the show, after having a huge brawl with Drill Instructor Harvey Walden IV.

Aames also appeared on Celebrity Fit Club 6: Boot Camp, where he lost 26 pounds and was the overall winner. Little did Aames know that the money he won on Celebrity Fit Club 6: Boot Camp would be the last to come in.
