Will Americans Decide for Themselves What Future They Want?

Donald Trump has one chance to win this election; Stay on topic and pound Hillary Clinton with the bountiful facts at his disposal. It appears from the Florida speech he gave on Wednesday that is exactly what he intends to do.

The Hillary campaign has a strategy of personally attacking Trump with the “locker room talk,” the “beauty queen chatter,” and his refusal to disclose his income tax returns. Much like the Carter strategy of portraying his opponent, Ronald Reagan, as a reckless cowboy and a “warmonger,” that resulted in a landslide defeat of Carter is the very strategy the Clinton campaign plans the next three weeks.

Will it work?

Are Americans that concerned about Trump’s personal indiscretions? Will probable voters, not fanatically behind Hillary no matter what, enter the voting booth in privacy and think hard about their real choice?

massive trump rally.
Massive Trump rally.

Corrupt Hillary Clinton

Trump has his work cut out for him. He must bring home to all Americans the Hillary Rodham Clinton record of failure as secretary of state, the email scandal, the bleaching of some 30,000 emails after being subpoenaed by Congress, lying to the FBI, the Clinton Foundation corruptness, her very words to Wall Street that was to befriend them rather than scold them as she has told American voters, her taped speech for open borders, her treatment of the Bill Clinton’s female victims as “bimbos” and the Foundation’s acceptance of hundreds of millions from Middle East countries that treat women like slaves.

What has this taxpayer-funded career politician actually done that is real change? That is the question millions of voters had to face on Election Day in 1980. Are you better off than you were eight-years ago and do you want a candidate that promises more of the same?

These are real world questions that voters will face. Will Trump’s behavior, temper and lack of manners rule the day, or will a track record of failure and corruption rule the day?

It is an absolute given that Trump is now basically alone in his fight through Republican alienation and an aggressive media that points out even the most trivial Trump stories while providing back page coverage of continuing WikiLeaks emails showing Hillary as a liar and corrupt Washington-insider.

Corrupt Media

This column may come off as partisan to many readers, but have you seen anything like it in your social media, newspapers or network news broadcasts? The answer is a resounding NO which in turn is a disgrace for the old idea that mainstream “journalists” were the wall of truth and openness under our Constitution. Those days are gone and the few true journalists are left to be ridiculed and ignored by a corrupt media owned by mostly six liberal operations.

Doesn’t that scare you as an American who should be seeking all the facts instead of those selected for you?
