Can Hillary Loosen Up Before Firestorm Sweeps Her Campaign Away?

CNN poll results as shown on CNN.

Clinton Campaign Managers Alarmed

Hillary Clinton’s campaign managers are alarmed at her inability to pull away from Donald Trump. Their advice is for her to become more open, focus on the economy and not your opponent, show she has a real soul and play to Trump’s big suit, blue-collar jobs and their status.

Hillary’s Openness

There is no question in most Americans’ minds that she heavily relies on talking points, her teleprompter and staged events, often filled with DNC guests. In less than 60-days, can the former secretary of State do a 180 degree turn at age 69? It is highly unlikely and would be awkward if she suddenly tried it. She simply is not a relaxed and engaging campaigner.

Focus on the Economy

Ironically, if Hillary zones in on the economy, she opens herself to high risk from the Trump campaign. She has never held a private-sector job of any kind, never met a payroll and never built anything. Trump will immediately attack those facts and the assumption that she will clean things up. What has her former boss been doing for eight years, the one she claims will be his third term if she’s elected?

Hillary is Foolish to Continue her Trump Attacks

He is the most written-about candidate in US history and most of the print space and air time is unflattering. The liberal media is against Trump and his reliable second campaign staff. Yet he continues to beat down her lead. She will learn during the September 26th national debate just what Trump has got and she doesn’t, and vice-versa.

Play Into Trump’s Hands With Blue Collar Workers

Hillary must understand that the voter anger derives from the same old Washington cronyism, lobbyists, crooked politicians, her own well-documented corruption, lying, etc. She is the poster child for blue collar Americans who have heard enough of the same old banter and are angry and disillusioned. Better to pander elsewhere.

Hillary’s Soul

Can anyone define that? This is a woman who has lied to the American people, lied to Congress and committed perjury that goes unheeded simply because she is who she is. The story about being dirt poor when Bill and Hillary left the White House is another outrageous lie. The Clintons are worth upward of $300 million and it did not come from their lifetime government checks.

There is good reason for Trump’s numbers to be soaring in the last two weeks. Americans are now more fully engaged in the presidential race, unlike the sleepy, vacation months of June, July and August. Clinton is unable to stop the drip, drip of almost daily headlines on another scandal, the Clinton Foundation, her email outrage, you name it.

Meanwhile, the new and calmer Trump is relying more on a teleprompter at the right sort of venues. He is articulating his policies and getting a second chance for redemption from the bombastic Donald we all saw in the primaries and early part of his campaign for president as the new Republican nominee.

When CNN, The LA Times and The Washington Post polls indicate that Hillary has slipped dramatically the last two weeks, you know there is no way they can hide it like they do for other outrageous indiscretions relegated to page ten.

Trump is now within striking distance of Clinton, defying predictions in Washington that he is doomed in November. Didn’t the left media say that about Reagan just about the same time of his presidential campaign against incumbent Jimmy Carter in 1980?

It will be a big task to reconcile the charismatic, warm and funny woman they know in private with Clinton’s public persona, which can come across as stern, aloof or annoyed. There are a number of recently published books that attest to the latter.

Clinton News Network Poll

The CNN (Clinton News Network) poll showed Trump leading Hillary by two points among likely voters nationwide, 45 percent to 42 percent. Voters gave Clinton a slightly higher unfavorable rating and the same for untrustworthiness.

She is a notorious pandering politician who will say anything to appease any group, no matter who they are, Clinton’s campaign announced Thursday that she would open up about her faith and values. She took the disingenuous first step when she gave a personal address that very Thursday night to the National Baptist Convention.

Clinton’s major political open sore is the economy. Polls have constantly shown more confidence in Trump, a billionaire real estate mogul, to jump-start growth. Hillary? What’s the private sector?

It will be interesting how Trump addresses the Obama foreign policy of the last eight years and their record on economic growth, jobs, and unemployment.? And, not to be forgotten, Obama’s legacy, The Affordable Care Act, a rendition of Hillary’s failed health plan back in 1994.
