Today was the tenth market for the year, a beautiful evening, with lots of things to see, hear, eat and do.
Lightning Hand, a classic rock and original blues/rock band put on a great show down at the Chamber of Commerce parking lot in Wool Street. Fans describe their sound as a diverse and modern blend of The Grateful Dead, The Band, Eric Clapton, The Beatles, The Allman Brothers, Rolling Stones as well as Traditional Blues and Country. Their latest album, “Almost to Nowhere” is already sparking major interest, with “Somewhere Down The Road” and “You Never Will” playing on The Mick Martin Blues Show on National Public Radio.
Up in the 600 block, the belly dancing groups were once again a big hit, drawing a big crowd.
The weather was really nice, with the temperature reaching a peak of around 96 degrees and dropping down into the 70s as the sun went down.
