The California Department of Veterans Affairs, known as CalVet, is sponsoring an event that provides veterans with topical information about their benefits and services. The meeting is to be held at the Joint Forces Training Base in Los Alamitos, California, and is specifically for those recently returned from active duty.
Topics to be covered at the meeting includes information about PTSD, the New GI Bill, and employment opportunities.
CalVet says this is only one of several Veterans All-Hands Meetings to take place throughout California this year. The meetings are designed to provide a forum to provide current information on benefits and services available to veterans. An especially important part of the meeting is information for veterans returning from the conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq.
Attendees at the meeting include CalVet representatives, Joint Forces Training Base representatives, elected officials, veterans, and students. All attendees will need to show a picture ID to enter the Joint Forces Training Base.
Sponsors include MilitaryConnection.com, ThisWeekInOC.com and KOCE, the PBS Station.

TIME: 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
