President Obama Shares His Facts With Mexican President Pena Nieto

WASHINGTON – (NewsBlaze) – In the White House Press pool, Independent Journal Review’s White House Correspondent Kate Glassman Bennett has a talent that no one to my knowledge in a year and a half in the West Wing possesses. Kate can figure out the designer of some political celebrity’s clothing and have it fact checked by sometimes five sources in her reporting.

I somehow doubt that what appeared to me to be to be the White House videographer getting a tight close up shot of me at Friday’s joint Barrack Obama and Mexican President Pena Nieto joint presser that she possesses the same ability as Kate Bennett. If she did, she might have figured out that I was wearing my Donald Trump collection cufflinked Blue Winchester dress shirt. If the President was blessed with that ability too, he might have figured out just how much Trump is closing in on him.

Obama Shares His Facts

The President told reporters on Friday in response to Fox News’ Kevin Corke’s question, that he did not watch the GOP convention in Cleveland and the new nominee’s speech the night before. But he went on to show he was more out of touch with reality than people who were denizens of Saint Elizabeth’s mental hospital by adding this:

“And the one thing that I think is important to recognize is this idea that America is somehow on the verge of collapse, this vision of violence and chaos everywhere, doesn’t really jibe with the experience of most people. I mean, I hope people, the next morning, walked outside and birds were chirping and the sun was out, and this afternoon people will be watching their kids play in sports teams and go to the swimming pool, and folks are going to work and getting ready for the weekend. And, in particular, I think it is important just to be absolutely clear here that some of the fears that were expressed throughout the week just don’t jibe with the facts.”

Really, Mr. President?

There hasn’t been a single quarter of the Obama Presidency that has had over 3% GDP growth to make that riff work. But If you live in Nogales, Arizona or Laredo, Texas, what the president said next to Corke was just unbelieveable. .” .. the rate of illegal migration into the United States today is lower by two-thirds than it was when Ronald Reagan was President. We have far fewer undocumented workers crossing the border today than we did in the ’80s, or the ’90s, or when George Bush was President. That’s a fact.”

A fact?

us president barack obama shares his facts with mexican president pena nieto.
Mexican President Pena Nieto and U.S. President Barack Obama.

What is a fact is Donald Trump had the delegates eating out of his hand the night before with people loving every minute of Sheriff Arpaio firing up the crowd to chant “build the wall” on that issue. You don’t need to be a rocket scientist to know how bad America’s immigration problems are and the very idea of having the Mexican President standing there next to him that day just wasn’t really winning him many supporters but he sure wanted to put the thumb in his opponent’s eye.

President Obama waded into the recent killings of police officers by saying that they were “significantly lower than it was when Ronald Reagan was President” but he sort of failed to mention the number of his buddies in the Black Lives Matter movement are making more noise about that and putting people in Law Enforcement on edge.

Good News Suppressed?

The extra terrestrial exchange from reality with Kevin Corke concluded by the President saying “oh, you had some question about my approval ratings being high and right track-wrong track.” Then he posited that we would be “hard pressed” to find a poll in which we were on the wrong track because the “good news doesn’t get reported.”

Good news?

Between 2005 and 2008 there were around 26 million people on food assistance (SNAP) each year, but on president Obama’s watch between 2008 to 2012, it ramped up to 46.6 million. In 2014, there were still 46.5 million in the program and in April this year, 43.5 million. Around 37% of participants in SNAP are White, 22% African-American, 10% Hispanic, 2% Asian, 4% Native American, and the ethnicity of 19% is unknown.

Apparently illegal immigrant numbers are down. Could that have anything to do with the Obama administration processing huge numbers of green cards? There are around 4.5 million greencard applications each year, now. President Pena Nieto must be really happy with that!

President Obama may also not have heard that 94.6 million Americans were not in the labor force last month. No wonder the official unemployment rate is only 5%. Not much good news there!

Recap

So let’s recap.

President Obama missed the convention the previous night, and he missed noticing my Blue Winchester Donald Trump collection shirt. He missed the fact that the number of illegals might be down because now they have greencards. Finally, he missed that fact that 43.5 million people are on SNAP (previously known as food stamps).

It might have been a good idea for this administration to ask Kate Glassman Bennett to teach them how to do real research so they could get ahead of the curve balls.
