One Nation Under Civility: Blaming Objects For Our Failings

I saw on television the father of a six year old son. The man was distraught over his son’s death in the shooting at Newtown. He blamed the civil attitude of people in that community. He shed tears and was of course upset and showed the feelings a father would show over the death of any child.

I watched, not with tears or anger, but with a sad feeling in my stomach.

Civil dysfunction is not to blame for these types of deaths – it goes much deeper. It is the same terrible thing that happens in any shooting death, or drunk driver accused of manslaughter, or a mother deliberating killing a child.

Sin Breeds Sin

I believe the problem has nothing to do with civil actions or civility but it is the lack of religious convictions. People have lost the fact that sin exists and when we sin in any degree, it brings on more sin. Sin breeds sin and the more it breeds the greater the sin becomes.

Sin breeds contempt for civility. It is not mental sickness but a lack of conscience. People have lost the spirit of God in their lives. Satan rules in this nation and is having his way.

These terrible things happen almost every day in our nation and will continue until people wake up and see the light, that we are sinning.

If sin does not exist then we don’t exist, if we don’t exist then God doesn’t exist, and if God doesn’t exist, then this world doesn’t exist, and if this world doesn’t exist, then nothing exists, not even the heavens.

Can a Tool Be The Motivation For Killing?

What motivates a person to want to kill? It certainly isn’t the gun which is an instrument like a surgeon’s scalpel. A gun doesn’t whisper or talk or tempt one to kill another person.

A doctor can use a scalpel for a purpose but not for killing humans but on occasions it could be blamed by congress or a lawyer when a patient dies.

Just like the gun can it be the reason, when it is used to kill. Oh that is a really good thought. Blame the gun not the person.

Pass a law then, so we can all be safe.

But Laws are no good unless they are obeyed.

If you don’t believe that statement; then ask God. He has laid down the laws but few listen. Thou shalt not Kill. Remember that one?

There are nine do nots in the commandments and also dos such as love your father and mother.

Pass a law, so we can feel safe, but will it be obeyed?

We are told the Schools can’t teach God’s laws. Who then teaches the children? Do Mom and Dad teach? No, they didn’t get taught either; remember it stopped way back in the 1960’s.

Live By The Commandments

Keep government and religion apart. Who is killing whom? We look past the problems and create stupidity where common sense should be in force or applied.

But common sense seems to stop when religion is left out of the equation.

If man would just live by the Ten Commandments this would be a wonderful world, or in our case, a wonderful nation.

Killings would eventually be illuminated, people would think twice about sins and civility would regain its hold on our society.

Congress would wake up to the needs of the people because the people would be right with God

Did Religious Leaders Give Up Too Easily?

Is it religion’s fault then? They are partly because they didn’t fight hard enough for laws to protect their rights. Too many ministers were busy raising money for new churches or a new car and not paying attention to the subject of true religion.

When a religion does not demand sacrifice of its people then they fail to recognize their responsibility in the Fall of this Nation into anarchy.

Jesus Christ demanded of his followers the sacrifice of life; it required them to follow him. He said ‘come Follow me.’

The apostles and disciples, those who were true Christians, gave their lives to give Christianity a start, but we now fail His religion because no one demands of the people this same spirit of sacrifice, ‘come Follow me.’

If we don’t take the right steps to overcome this terrible blunder of religious freedoms and religious rights then this nation will self destruct. If we can’t live by God’s laws, what makes you think we can live and survive by man’s puny laws?

If God’s laws are not obeyed then who is killing whom?
