Are Americans Turning a Deaf Ear on The Gift of Freedom?

Simplicity seems too easy but time after time we fail to accept truth and grasp hold of those who speak of justice, truth and honor but hand out tinkling brass and shining symbols that glisten in our eyes but hold darkness in their meaning.

Truth and belief of truth will stimulate faith into honest action. Evil and liars will subdue truth and hasten our destruction and result will be tyranny.

Falsehoods sometime make us want to believe but when they are exposed we see nothing but the empty hallowed meaning of the words they used to disguise their true intentions.

Americans seem to want truth but our understanding and belief becomes stifled by the rhetoric of candidates running for offices in government and a bias media.

How can we know who speaks the truth and who speaks falsehoods? My grandfather told me when I was but a lad, this simple equation. Truth is easy for an honest man to understand but to a dishonest man truth is hard to digest. The wicked take hard the truth. The honest man loves the truth. What is in a man’s heart is neither all good nor all bad but one or the other will eventually win the battle for his soul.

If we the people live not to embrace truth but swallow lies then we deserve what we seek. If we the people love truth and embrace it then we will enjoy the harvest, that truth and freedom bestows upon those who believe and are trust-worthy of the gift.

The words of Ronald Reagan, warning us of men who will attempt to destroy our basic gifts of freedom resonate in my ears.

Why do we give truth a cold shoulder and then embrace evil as if it is truth?

The greatest gift we enjoy is our freedom. If we believe freedom is not a gift then we deny truth and soon evil will win the battle of our souls.

Know the truth and the truth will make you free. Simple, direct, and honest, this is truth, no convoluted words with suspicious meaning and no more demagoguery, just be honest and truth will win. We the people of this nation must change our attitudes before it is too late.

We cannot stand around with our hands out hoping government will provide and listen to the false hoods contrived by dishonest men and women who seek not freedom but desire tyranny and power.

A nation conceived in liberty and dedicated to the proposition that all men are equal must succeed, but a nation conceived in tyranny and dedicated to bondage must fail. Failing or succeeding is in the hands of the people and not in Washington.

If our house is dirty then we must clean it up. If our house is clean we must maintain cleanliness. Don’t expect more from our elected politicians than you are willing to do yourself.

The grace of God is a gift and if we do not appreciate the gift of freedom and his goodness we will fail. If we humble ourselves and seek truth and adhere (remain loyal) to the doctrine of freedom we can retain the sacred trust, the gift of Freedom. Seek those who run for office’s in government who live and expound the truth and avoid dishonesty.
