Mozilla Leads The New Fascist Left in America
If you read one column as an American this year, read this.
There is a growing danger in America that affects every ethnic group, greed, color, party affiliation, political beliefs and most importantly freedom. While much of the mainstream media will discount this all-encompassing statement, most Americans will realize the danger if they inform themselves of the growing danger that has reached sinister proportions.
Sunday's announcement by the management of Mozilla, an Internet engine provider, is the lightning rod for freedom-loving Americans and our right as a citizen to express our beliefs without fear of reprisals or bodily injury.
"While painful, the events of this week show exactly why we need the web. So all of us can engage freely in the tough conversations we to make the world better."
Those were the words of Mozilla Chairwoman Mitchell Baker as she announced the sacking of new CEO, Brendan Eich. She had capitulated to the politically correct demanding his resignation or termination.
What was Eich's grievous violation?
He had donated $1,000 to Proposition 8, the ballot measure to limit marriage to one man and one woman six-years-ago. The same side of the proposition President Barack Obama was on at the time of the vote. He later changed his position for the very same reason Brendan Eich was fired. He just beat the new facists to the punch.
That aside, which is common sense, the Lords of Silicon Valley decided with no conversation or public response, Eich had to go. Free exchange of ideas can go only so far with the political left. "So far" is that invisible line an American crosses when the 'thought police' are opposed to their core beliefs.
Baker apparently resisted calls for Eich's resignation for a few weeks, but whether it was her club memberships, social standing or other 'important' reasons, she caved to the left wing haters of democracy.
Apparently the theory of homophobia derives from opposition to same-sex marriage in America's new social order. The left wing nuts have said so or you will be vilified in their media and your life will be ruined.
Is every American starting to get this new logic of the left? Get used to it because if there the same apathy we have faced since Barack Obama's coronation in 2009 persists, it will now be the new norm of this country - and you will obey. The left perceives that victory as your approval of their 'new order' in America.
Are you angry yet America? No? How about this?
The left doesn't care what you think. You are stuck in cultural ignorance. Chairwoman Baker actually says so. In her blog after Eich's outrageous dismissal, she said Mozilla "welcomes" contributions from "everyone." That includes age, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation and religious views.
So calm down, Mozilla is 'compassionate.'
Stop bellyaching about this being an act of some totalitarian regime. Get with it. You will lose your job if you vote a certain way. Forget that stupid ballot box in the future. You will be ruined by a grassroots effort supported by the liberal media, okay?
You're probably safe at this point if you are not a public figure like Brenden Eich. It's possible to hide and say nothing as the flame-throwers gather their mob to target select members of our society with their invisible torches and rope.
Whew! You dodged that bullet. 'They' didn't hassle you. They didn't take your job and you are safe with the mortgage and your kid's private school.
There is no reason for real tolerance when fear will suffice.
