Cara Delevingne- Top 10 Hottest New Face of Fashion

By

There are many reasons to love Cara Delevingne. Her amazing look, her cute, quirky personality, and her style. All of these things and more make up the young woman that is one of fashion's hottest new faces on the runways and in print. Yet, like few models of our time, Cara is a model with fierce bravery like few models past or present. The reason why is that unlike many models, Cara is not afraid to 'not' look 'pretty.' She is as famous for making deliberately 'ugly' or silly faces in front of the camera, as she is for the famous ones that the lenses capture. And- she gets away with it, again and again and again. In fact, it is just that reason and one of the many others that Cara has exploded not only on the global fashion scene, but beyond, into the world of pop culture- becoming a fashion icon of her time, because she does not take herself too seriously, likes to have fun, and is not afraid to laugh at herself.

Whether it is recording silly and sexy karaoke videos with a kitten to Shania Twain, sticking out her tongue and rolling her eyes in photos, or simply stopping on the streets of Paris and letting a fan videotape her for ten minutes, Cara Delevingne is both down to Earth, and out of this world as one of the hottest ranked models in fashion today.

Born in London, England on August 12, 1992, the 21 year old Cara Jocelyn Delevingne grew up with a successful family who has worked in fashion, media, and politics among more. As a child, Cara reportedly modeled in advertisements for Cadbury chocolates. In 2011, Cara was featured in Burberry's spring and summer 2011 and 2012 campaigns. Her recent work has included campaigns for H&M and Chanel, and runway work for Moschino, Jason Wu, Oscar de la Renta, Burberry, Dolce & Gabbana, Stella McCartney, Fendi, and the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show among others. Cara has landed on the covers of magazines including Vogue Korea, Vogue UK, and Style dot com's Spring 2013 issue among more.

Cara Delevingne was reportedly named by The Evening Standard as one of "London's 1,000 Most Influential of 2011", in the category of "Most Invited." In 2012, she won 'Model of the Year' at the British Fashion Awards. As of January 2014, she is ranked number 5 on Models dot com's 50 Top Models. In addition to some acting in commercials, including the cool one for the "Happy Campaign," and seen here below, and a bit of singing-with a lovely voice, Cara Delevingne also appeared in the 2012 film adaptation of Tolstoy's Anna Karenina, as Princess Sorokina, and In 2013 she appeared in the Grand Theft Auto V video game as the DJ for the Non-Stop-Pop FM radio station.

With her namesake "eyebrows," and her comical, cute showmanship, Cara Delevingne uses her face as a canvas to change shapes, looks, and moods like a chameleon perhaps more deliberately and quirkishly than any other model. Although admitting to not getting enough sleep due to her hectic work schedule and jet setting around, she states that she keeps going and stays healthy by trying to eat healthy, drinking 'lots' of water, and avoiding too much alcohol. On her Instagram page, Cara states, "Don't Worry. Be Happy. Embrace Your Weirdness." And she posted a text box that reads, "Everyone you meet is fighting a battle you know nothing about. Be Kind. Always." It is all of this, her good nature, and without a doubt, her amazing look and more, that makes Cara Delevingne so loved, and indeed, one of the Top 10 Hottest New Faces of Our Time.
