Whole Foods Removes Obama Chicken Ad
"A Whole Foods supermarket in New York has removed a depiction of President Obama that several neighbors found offensive, WNBC reported.
A sign posted in front of a Whole Foods in Manhattan's Upper West Side advertised organic chicken using a rendering of Mr. Obama. The use of the president's image did not sit well with some who objected to the racial stereotypes at work behind the advertisement."
Using an image of President Obama to hawk chicken isn't kosher. The manager of the Whole Foods supermarket did the right by removing the questionable poster.
However some folks did overreact, the innocuous ad featured an image of Obama promoting organic chicken. It's not like the ad represented Obama munching on a piece of fried chicken, while in the background Michelle was drinking malt liquor.
Offensive would be a poster outside a Chinese restaurant that shows Obama, who has admitted eating dogs as a child in Indonesia, chomping down on a dog fillet.
Michelle Obama, who is a health food advocate, would probably give her blessing to an ad featuring her husband touting organic chicken.
