Rooster, White Duck and Mallard Become Best Friends
"Residents of a South Carolina retirement community said a rooster, a white duck and a mallard have formed an unlikely group of friends on the property.
Melissa Yetter, Lowman's executive director, and her volunteers said the ducks spend the day swimming while the rooster struts along the shore of the pond and periodically crows. They said the three birds huddle together in the evenings to nest on the shore.
The duck is permanently injured and can't fly away, the rooster was abandoned on the property, and the mallard was born on the property.
Birds of a feather flock together, but sometimes misfits bond together.
If this diverse group of birds can get along why can't, why can't the birdbrain Republicans and Democrats in the Senate get together and pass important bills?
