Clerk Fights Off Robber With Sword

By   get stories by email

"A clerk in New Bedford turned the tables during a convenience store robbery.

When the would-be robber pulled out his knife, clerk Brian Patel pulled out a sword.

Patel says the robber's knife was about eight inches long.
Patel didn't hesitate to reach under the counter and respond with his sword, about three feet long, that sent the robber running empty handed."

The would-be robber must have felt like a dude doing his business in a urinal when adult movie star Ron Jeremy uses the urinal next to him.

The suspect apparently hasn't mastered Robbery 101: You don't bring a pocket knife to a sword fight.

I hope the convenience store clerk also keeps a shotgun under the counter, if the next robber pulls out a gun the biggest sword in the world isn't going to help him.

To add insult to injury a customer gave the suspect a swift kick in the ass as he was leaving the store.
