Jamie Foxx: Black People Are The Most Talented People In The World
"After calling Barack Obama 'Our Lord and Savior' at last November's Soul Train Awards, Foxx, during his acceptance speech as Entertainer of the Year at last Friday's NAACP Image Awards, said, 'Black people are the most talented people in the world.'"
You can't expect eloquence, wisdom, and common sense from a celeb who calls Barack Obama "Our Lord and Savior", but I was still shocked at Jamie Foxx's racist statement.
The predominantly black audience hollered and applauded when Fox made his ridiculous statement. Imagine if Harrison Ford declared "white people are the most talented people in the world" during his acceptance speech after winning an Oscar. His statement would have been met with thundering silence, and before he left the stage, Twitter and Facebook would be flooded with messages calling him everything but a child of God.
I believe in racial equality, and everybody (white, black brown and yellow) should be judged by the same standard. Why hasn't any Hollywood star called upon Foxx to apologize for his racist remarks? Cat got your tongue, Sean Penn? Too busy gobbling bon bons, Rosie O'Donnell?
Foxx may have received the "Entertainer of the Year" award at the NAACP image Awards, but a more mainstream organization would have bestowed upon him "The Jackass Entertainer of the Year" award.
