Burglar Sentenced To 3 1/2 Years For Raiding Homeowner's Fridge
"A man in Spain who stole food has been sentenced to 3 1/2 years in jail, even though the owner of the food has not pressed charges, court officials said.
ThinkSpain said the man took a window out of its frame to get into the house in Vigo.
He stole sausages, lobsters and other food from the fridge inside the home, ThinkSpain reported." UPI
All I have in my fridge are condiments and Tupperware with food that's grown moldy and inedible. If a burglar breaks into my home, I hope he takes the Tupperware with him.
The namby-pamby homeowner could have received compensation for the food, but refused to accept it. She told the court: He stole food, he must have been hungry.
If the man was hungry he should have gone to a soap kitchen, instead of causing damage to a home by taking a window out if its frame and raiding the homeowner's fridge.
Thank goodness the judge isn't a bleeding-heart liberal like the victim; he sentenced the burglar to a stiff jail sentence.
This is the second time that this man has been caught breaking into a home; the first time he received only a suspended sentence.
It's time that homeowners discouraged burglars by shooting them full of holes, and the judiciary system can do their part by sentencing the bullet-ridden crooks to long sentences.
