Cat Makes 190-Mile Trek Home

By   get stories by email

"A Florida couple whose cat became lost while on a vacation said the feline made the 190-mile trek home on her own.

Jacob and Bonnie Richter of West Palm Beach said they brought Holly the cat along for their trip to the Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach and they were unable to find their pet despite days of searching.

However, an emaciated Holly turned up 62 days later in Palm Beach Gardens - only one mile from their home."

I love my cat, and I miss her whenever I go on vacation, but I would never dream of taking her on a road trip.

You can count on a pooch chilling and relaxing on a long road trip, sticking his head out of the window and enjoying the scenery. But felines are drama queens, and they are always in trouble or contemplating getting in trouble.

It's very heartwarming that the couple was reunited with their adventurous cat. I hope they will spoil Holly and nurse her back to health.

Word of advice: No more road trips for Holly.
