SpyMasters Literary Guild Founding Member Releases New Thriller
Michael R. Davidson, one of the founding members of the SpyMasters Literary Guild, announces the release of his latest CIA thriller, 'Incubus'.
On the eve of a critical visit by the Russian President a former KGB general is shot to death on a quiet street in a Washington suburb. His death is attributed to a common mugging. The CIA is suspicious, but is barred from operating on American soil and must call a shadowy operative out of retirement to investigate.
It soon becomes clear that the White House and the Kremlin are linked in an effort to prevent the revelation of an explosive secret from the Cold War era and will resort to murder to do so. An unlikely group composed of a police officer, a CIA operative, and a renegade considered by many to be a cold-blooded killer must cooperate against enormous odds to bring the truth to light.
'Incubus' is inspired by the testimony of former Director of Central Intelligence Richard Helms before a House Select Committee in 1978. The affair at the center of this new book was an extremely painful time for the Central Intelligence Agency and is still the subject of controversy.
Michael R. Davidson is one of the founders of the SPYMASTERS Literary Guild and is a veteran of the CIA's legendary Clandestine Services with nearly 30 years of experience as a case officer and senior intelligence official at home and abroad. He brings his true-life experience into sharply defined focus in his novels and characters.
'Incubus' is the follow up to Michael's debut novel, 'Harry's Rules', set against the dramatic backdrop of post-Soviet Russia in the early 1990's.
