Former Undercover Agent Featured At Transparency International
Former DEA undercover agent Robert Mazur's article from the New York Times was recognized today by Transparency International as the top international story written about corruption.
Transparency International was created in 1993, when a few individuals decided to take a stance against corruption. Now present in more than 100 countries, the movement works relentlessly to stir the world's collective conscience and bring about change.
Robert Mazur's article, titled 'How to Halt the Terrorist Money Train' appears in today's New York Times.
The article can be viewed online:
Mazur has become an internationally recognized speaker on the topics of money laundering, drug trafficking and corruption. During 2012 he has been the featured speaker at events in Luxembourg, Italy, France, England, Jersey Channel Islands, Antigua, Dominican Republic and the U.S. For his audiences, Mazur shares insight into the tricks of the money laundering trade that he learned firsthand from senior members of Colombian drug cartels and corrupt bankers he infiltrated while working as a long-term undercover agent for nearly 5 years.
He detailed that journey in his fast selling non-fiction thriller, The Infiltrator, a chronicle of the dangerous life he lived operating as a mob connected money launderer. In that role, Mazur, who served as a conduit for the underworld to the international banking and business community, came face to face with more than a dozen corrupt senior executives of global financial institutions that had an insatiable appetite for dirty money.
Robert Mazur's high powered presentations take an awestruck audience inside the hierarchy of the world's most powerful drug cartels and a segment of the international banking and business community that Mazur claims intentionally launders much of theestimated $425 billion generated worldwide each year from the sale of illegal drugs.
Mazur is already scheduled to speak during 2013 at various conferences in and outside of the U.S. For more information about Mazur's memoir about his undercover life visit www.The-Infiltrator.com.
