Had Jodi Arias Planned to Murder Travis Alexander Well Before June 4, 2008?
By John Kays
Duel clusters of cerebral activity: our disorganized impressions of Jodi Arias' murder trial versus the reality of the trial itself, with two days under it's belt. The reason I'm bringing this up, without being the latest incarnation of Levi Strauss or Marshall McLuhan, is that most of us are carrying a great deal of prejudicial baggage, that prevents us from observing the trial impartially. I would put this defect on our cunning sociopath, who managed to trick a gullible media with (positive vibration) soundbites and deceptive photography.
Before even reading any of the text from major news sources, such as the Huffington Post, ABC, or The Daily Mail (across The Pond), all I'm doing is viewing a plethora of photo galleries, where Jodi seems to have meticulously documented her short time with Travis Alexander, as if she'd been planning a monumental documentary on their 'tender-loving' time together, whether 'twas wholesome or laced with kinky sex, or flagrant debauchery and pre-planned (thrill-seeking) exhibitionism.
Where's my journalistic objectivity two days into the trial? It's baby bath water thrown out the window? Has Jennifer Willmott altered my impression of a devout Mormon, the motivational speaker victim, Travis Alexander? Well, to be honest, she most certainly has! I mean, all I heard before the trial, is friends witnessing what a perfect man Travis appeared to be. Now I'm seeing some back-peddling, well maybe he was just a human, yea, he had weaknesses of the flesh.
My question, though, is why would he allow Jodi to photograph a sex session on June 4, 2008, the day he died? Was this Jodi's idea or was it his? Had this been done before? Were there precedents, I'd like to know? And did Jodi travel a thousand miles from Yreka, California to Mesa, Arizona with a plan for murder already ironed out to a T? The scenario with the .25 pistol suggests she did.
But what about way before that? Had she hatched a plan a good bit earlier, when we see the (apparently) happy couple posing in the colorful desert? Jodi must have set the timer; nobody else was there, I get the impression. And why am I taking the evidence out of context? Is it because this is the way Nancy Grace does it? Detective Esteban Flores gave me enough to chew on yesterday, it's true, but the gory crime scene photos of crimson sink spatters tossed me about on clouds of irrational thought process!
Why in the world did Travis use a publicly published social media site in order to humiliate Jodi, calling her a slut or a whore, and then the catchy phrase, 'I think I was little more than a dildo with a heartbeat to you.' Was this merely an email or was it posted on Facebook? Makes a big difference! If Travis had broke up with her, why did he continue in this juvenile sport of bating and verbal volleyball? Was he two ways with Jodi, both despising her and lusting after her?
Might one postulate, this duality experienced psychologically, internally within the psyche of Travis Alexander, also (in part) due to his Mormon leanings, led to his timely demise? The rage within Jodi must have grown astronomically through this life sequence. I see one witness, called on Wednesday, as largely overlooked by the mainstream media. This is the modest, yet beautiful Mormon woman, Mimi Hall. She was to accompany Mr. Alexander on a vacation to Cancun the very next day, on June 5, 2008. It never happened! Mimi testified that Jodi would sneak in Travis' house through the doggy door. How did she know this? Was Mimi the immediate trigger, setting Jodi afire, in the homicide?(Not giving any links; the well's been poisoned!)
