British Poll: Mother-In-Law Most Dreaded Christmas Meal Guest

"Britons say parents and in-laws top the list of the most-dreaded Christmas meal guests - with the female host's mother-in-law in first place."

This is hardly surprising news for Brits or Americans, a mother-in-law's mission in life is to belittle her daughter's husband.
How many times has a dude overheard his mother-in-law haranguing her daughter: Your husband is such a loser, I don't detect any good qualities. He must be hung like a horse! If the dude burst in buck naked swinging his money maker like a lasso, the dreaded mother-in-law would get on her daughter's case because he isn't making adult movies to provide her with a decent living.

There is no way to please a mother-in-law; you will be wasting your time and money trying to buy your way into her good graces by smothering her with gifts.

For God's sake don't invite the horrible woman to your Christmas dinner. You'd be better off inviting the Grinch or a serial killer to break bread with your wife and family.
