The Idiocy of Our Foreign Aid Policies

By     get stories by email

America is Generous

America has a generous foreign aid budget. In the history of the world no other country has come close to the humanity, the generosity or the respect for fellow human beings as the United States of America.

We are the first to come with money and supplies when another country and its people are in peril. The list is long beginning with the Marshall Plan to save a ravaged Europe after WWII. Even as Germany had been our sworn enemy, we were there to rebuild her to her former glory.

The same can be said of our occupation of Japan following four bitter years of where hundreds of thousands of American lives were lost in the struggle to save civilization from the Dark Ages.

America is Always The First Country To...

America is always first, and many times alone in our generosity. America is always the first country to send aid when other countries are in trouble, and quite often the only one to do so.

We are the most misunderstood and maligned people the world has ever known, or ever will (along with the Israelis).

With that said, it is highly appropriate that we now send "thanks" to all of the countries that reciprocated for our help with their disasters, misgivings, social turmoil, & poverty by sending to the United States of America monetary and physical help when Hurricane Sandy ravaged our East Coast leaving dead, homelessness, and pure disaster.

Listed below are all the countries and world Organizations providing gracious assistance. Please join me in "thanking" these entities by passing on this column so others all over America can join in and thank our generous world neighbors, to whom we have invested billions.

Here is The List

Charity Begins At Home

Well this is a bit embarrassing. There isn't one country to thank. Not even Mexico. You know, that country on our southern border that does nothing but criticize the United States while we pour billions down a rat hole infested country of corruption and murder?

Maybe now Americans will realize that charity begins at home. With millions of our people in need and in poverty, let's save our money and spend it at home instead of sending it to Germany, Russia, South Korea, Japan, France, India, Italy, Belgium, Denmark, Norway, Luxembourg, Finland, Poland, Hungary, Czechoslovakia, Israel, Egypt, China, Mexico, Libya, Pakistan and basically all of South and Latin America and Africa.

Have I Missed Just About Any Country on The Planet?

Isn't it time to rethink foreign aid in times when this country is in dire financial straits itself? Staten Island and parts of New Jersey would gladly thank America if we spent the billions there like we do on our "friends" in Egypt.

It's time to think America once more. It's time to stop believing money buys friends. It doesn't. This is not to say America should not show compassion, but where we do needs to be thoroughly studied and modified.

Maybe it's time to remove the big fat sticker on our backs that says, "Sucker."
