Ex-Model Slams Victoria's Secret TV Specials

"A former model says the Victoria's Secret TV special is not 'wholesome,' and criticizes producers for booking Canadian singer Justin Bieber to perform on it.

Nicole Clark, a former fashion model who advises girls on the pitfalls of modeling, said the appearance by the 18-year-old pop star is 'clear evidence' the lingerie maker is targeting teen and preteen girls."

Compared to the raunchy fare on cable TV, the Victoria's Secret TV special is as wholesome as mom, apple pie and the Brady Bunch.

It is a wholesome activity for dudes to enjoy the well-endowed angels strut their stuff, but Clark has a valid point. The lingerie maker is clearly targeting teen and preteen girls. Why else would they hire teen idols like Katy Perry and Justin Bieber to perform on their specials?

An impressionable young girl is going to watch the Victoria's Secret special just to swoon over Justin Bieber, but when she sees the attractive models dressed in lingerie she's going to want to look like a heavenly slut also.

The objectification and sexualization of young girls has got to stop. I am disgusted at the efforts of Victoria's Secret to target young girls. Even though I think the Victoria's Secret models are angels, I promise never to watch a Victoria's Secret TV special.
