Is America a Color Blind Society?

Comment on story: Celebrating a Black Conservative Who Has Always Put Country above Color

I just read this article about Jay Parker. How interesting that there is no mention of why Rev. Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson are needed. This is not a color blind society on the part of enough white people. Racism on the part of whites is truly alive and strong.

The election of President Obama has shown this and the obvious racial hatred masked as simply not agreeing with his policies is so obvious to the race of people that feel the disdain for their color. Thank goodness that a large enough segment of whites didn't use race as a factor to not vote for President Obama and joined a growing coalition of minority voters to give President Obama a win twice! But the poll numbers show that the majority of white men over age 40 did not vote for President Obama.

This could not mean that they all disagreed with his policies. Granted, some didn't, but a lot it was simply a choice of not wanting to vote for the Black candidate. Why do white people feel that they are qualified to speak on what the black people experience and who should be their spokesmen?

Isn't it interesting that Jay Parker and Clarence Thomas are not praised and held in high esteem by their race as people to be proud of? That's because their hatred of self is clear and they are viewed as the Benedict Arnolds of their race.
