Psy And M.C. Hammer Fireworks At The American Music Awards
"When Psy announced that he would have a special guest during his performance of 'Gangnam Style' that would close out the 2012 American Music Awards, the fact that the K-pop star was wearing Hammer pants should have tipped everyone off to who it was. Psy was joined on stage during the show with none other than M.C. Hammer in an epic mash-up."
For a few years in the late 80's and early 90's nobody could touch MC Hammer, homeboy was too legit to quit. Hammer never enjoyed legitimacy in the world of hip hop, but he was legit big time in the pop world. Homies who never set foot in the ghetto were sporting balloon pants and yelling: Hammer Time.
The Korean pop star Psy has conquered the world with his "Gangnam Style" madness. Nearly a billion people have viewed his "Gangnam Style" video. Millions of fans all over the world are doing his crazy horse dance, and yelling: Hey, Sexy Lady!
Last night at the American Music Awards Hammer joined Psy onstage to do a mash-up of "Gangnam Style" and "Too Legit to Quit." It was quite simply the greatest mash-up in history. Don't take my word for it, view the historic moment for yourself:
