INXS To Stop Touring

By   get stories by email

"The surviving members of the Australian rock band INXS announced at a concert in Perth they don't plan to go on tour again.

INXS began its career in the Western Australian city 35 years ago, with front man Michael Hutchence, who hanged himself in 1997 at the age of 37."

INXS touring without Michael Hutchence makes as much sense as Creedence Clearwater Revival touring without John Fogerty or Wings touring without Paul McCartney.

For 20 years INXS was fronted by Michael Hutchence, he was the quintessential rock star, and he is irreplaceable.

I'm not saying that the surviving members of INXS should commit suicide, but I'm glad they will finally disappear into the night.
