Man Hit By Police Car, Cops Send Him Bill To Repair Cruiser

By   get stories by email

"Jesse Zorski was crossing Centre St. at White St. on April 12 as a police car hit his left leg. After the family sued the city to recover his medical expenses, Zorski received a bill for more than $1,000 in damage to the police car."
Talk about adding insult to injury! Talk about rubbing salt into a wound! Talk about when it rains, it pours!

Zorski wasn't jaywalking, and he claims he had the right of way. Zorski has a hearing aid, and he admits to downing a couple of beers before the accident, but he insists that neither his hearing problem, nor the beers played a role in the accident.

The NYPD claims that the bill was sent out in error. Yeah right, it seems to me that the cops care more about their precious cruiser than they do about the citizens they are supposed to serve and protect.

The police department should do the right thing, and give this dude a keg of beer, before he sues them.
