Taylor Swift To Headline New Year's Special
"Taylor Swift is to perform on 'Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2013' in New York's Times Square, ABC said Friday.
The network's Dec. 31 programming will feature a tribute to music television icon Dick Clark, who died in April at age 82."Dick Clark is in the Great Bandstand in the Sky; I think it's freaking time that his name was dropped from the title of the show.
The baton has been passed to Ryan Seacrest, and I bet he wants to club someone with it whenever anyone mentions Dick Clark.
Speaking of the dead, the creatively dead Taylor Swift will perform on the program, which guarantees I won't watch it.
Swift has an irritating habit of basing her songs on her romantic relationships and on her interactions with celebs.
I hope that Jenny McCarthy, who will be emceeing the festivities, will ring in the New Year by giving Swift a good solid kick to the butt. Give girlfriend material for a new song that will unfortunately climb the charts all the way to the top.
