Bookie 'Power Paddy' Pays Out On Obama Victory

By   get stories by email

"An Irish betting company called Paddy Power is already paying out to gamblers who bet on President Barack Obama to win the U.S. election."

Despite polls showing Obama and Republican nominee Mitt Romney virtually tied, Paddy Power is paying out a total of more than $800,000 to those who bet on Obama, believing that he will win the race, the company said in a release." UPI

The Paddy Power managers are either insane or supporters of Obama. Almost every national poll shows President Obama and his Republican challenger Mitt Romney virtually tied.

Both the Obama and the Romney camps exude confidence, but most impartial observers rightfully conclude that the race is too close to call.

A spokesperson for Paddy Power opined that Romney will be remembered more for his legendary gaffes than presidential potential. Obviously Paddy Power is enthralled by the Obama mystique, how can you bring up the subject of gaffes and not mention Joe Biden? Romney's gaffes have been few and far between, while virtually every Biden speech includes at least one major gaffe.

We won't find out who won until, maybe Wednesday morning, but we already know that Paddy Power is in the tank for Obama.
