Man Refuses to Pay Traffic Ticket Because End of The World is Near

By   get stories by email

"A man in Russian said he won't pay a traffic fine because the upcoming end of the world in December makes the payment senseless.

'The debtor believes that if people are kinder to each other and forgive each other's debts, the world will not end,' the website reads, quoting the debt collector.

The ancient Mayan calendar cycle ends in December, prompting some to predict an apocalypse."

If this Russian is consistent in his beliefs he will forgive a burglar who steals all his earthly goods.

I don't think too many people really believe that the world is going to end on December 21, 2012. There hasn't been a surge in people maxing out their credit cards, selling their homes, and trying to do all the items in their bucket lists.

But even if you don't know the Mayan calendar from a Playboy calendar, the popularity of Honey Boo Boo Child should be enough of a warning sign that end is nigh. Maybe we should all follow the Russian dude's example, and disregard all our financial obligations.

We should rip up our traffic tickets, toss our bills to the wind, and sit in front of the boob tube and watch re-runs of "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" until the world ends.

I redneckognize that there's something rotten in Denmark, Georgia and all over the world.
