Ventura-Riverside Mayors Bet Fruit For Ortiz Lopez Fight

The Mayors of Ventura and Riverside, California are putting up their fruits for the Victor Ortiz - Josesito Lopez fight, this Saturday at The Staples Center in Los Angeles.
Mike Tracy the Mayor of Ventura is betting Riverside Mayor Ron Loveridge a flat of strawberries that resident Victor Ortiz will beat Riversides Josesito Lopez for the WBC Welterweight Silver Belt Championship.
Ventura is a quiet coastal town of about 100,000 residents; Riverside, with a population of about 300,000, is located on the edge of the Mojave Desert. Coincidentally, both cities are roughly 60 miles from the downtown Los Angeles Staples Center-Ventura to the west, Riverside to the east.

Meanwhile Mayor Loveridge is betting a 25 pound bag of Riversides finest oranges, that Victor Ortiz will be victorious on Saturday.
Both fighters have heart and fight hard, which will make this fight, a well attended one at that. The Ortiz-Lopez 12-rounder will be televised on Showtime.
