Is Netanyahu Acting in Opposition to The Will of The People of Israel?

By     get stories by email

On Wednesday, June 6, 2012, the government of Israel has made one other calamitous mistake when it voted against the Regulation Law bill. It is called Betrayalism Of Nationalism.

It is expected of an intelligent nation to think matters through. Since the state of Israel is a democracy, it is expected of intelligent people to elect an intelligent and thinking-through government to represent them. However, this is not the case of one Israeli government after another. Each prime minister who comes to power appears to have made as many mistaken concessions possible to the Arabs for no apparent reasons and none ended with good results for Israel. These leaders appear to be under a spell of some sort and their brain gives in or gives up.

If one Gush Katif was not enough, Bibi and his gang of inapt politicians are up to no good again; their eyes are focused on Judea and Samaria where 350,000 Jews reside. They have a covert plan they are not sharing with the nation. Seemingly they are going to, again, destroy homes of Jews, make Jews homeless and please the hearts and minds of Israel's enemies.

The world gets utmost pleasure from seeing Jews making other Jews' life miserable. This way no one can blame them for anti-Semitism and hate of Israel; they say, how lucky are we that Jews are doing a good job on our behalf.

The expulsion of Jews from Gaza divided the Israeli nation and today it has taken a second round. Prime Minister Netanyahu managed to bait the majority of his law makers to vote against the Regulation Law bill that would have prevented further demolition of Jewish homes in Judea and Samaria. A storm of another expulsion, to whatever extent, is gathering and the fear and apprehension is mounting.

One of the communities marked on the board for destruction is Migron.

Thanks to the Internet and fast communication, in March 2012, few individuals, from Australia, United State and Israel, who see the writing on the wall, got together online, formed Friends of Migron International support organization issued an online Petition: and started to fight to Save Migron from its doomed end.

It is most frustrating to know that despite the existing recommendations from top Israeli legal experts on how to legalize Migron fairly and reasonably, we see the government going against all logic, last is their rejection of the Regulation Law bill.

The destruction of Jewish communities such as Yamit, Amona, Gush Katif - in the name of "land for peace" or "peace" - has brought no gain for Israel but shrunk her size and diminished her security and deterrence. What Israel has done successfully, it became a 'Defense Fenced Country.' It is fenced to the north on the border with Lebanon, it is fenced and walled to the west with the Judea and Samaria area, and it is fenced to the south with Egypt/Gaza border. It is following Abba Eban, when he appeared at the United Nations following the Six Day war, and described the fragility of Israel's 1949-1967 map as Israel's "Auschwitz" lines.

Time magazine has deemed Netanyahu as a "king' and up until yesterday it seemed as if he would have deserted the throne. Today he proved that his claim to power is well deserved. Not only is he powerful, but he maybe even the shrewdest person in the world. Just like God, "God giveth, God taketh away, blessed be God's name."

Our wholly intention was and is to urge Mr. Netanyahu to allow the community of Migron to remain where it is and grow. After yesterday, we remain to wonder if it is at all possible.

Our petition's purpose is to persuade the leader of Israel to keep in mind the future of the Nation State of the Jewish people. Is he capable?

Do the people who are members of the government of Israel understand what it means that Israel is the homeland of all Jews? Are they able to thoroughly think about the consequences of the proposed 'evictions' and what it would mean for all of the nation of Israel?

The right is on the side of those who stand with Ulpana, Migron and the like communities, and not a government that constantly betrays its own citizenry and country.

It has been determined that Migron was never "private Arab property," as the alleged Arab owners of the land where Migron was established never had valid, legal title to it. Yet the Supreme Court and the government ignore such viable fact.

Surveys were conducted many times; their results were always the same: the majority of the people in Israel oppose the creation of an "Arab Palestine" State, they oppose the eviction of Jews and destruction of Jewish communities and they believe that This Land Is Our Land.

Sadly, it has not impressed the politicians one bit....they know about the surveys, yet, they act in opposition to the will of the people. What kind of democracy it is? Do they know that Democracy is a government of the People by the People?

The power must be shifted to the people because it is becoming abundantly clear that the government of Israel is not a representative of the people who elected it.
