Bob Heyman, credited with both coining the term "Search Engine Optimization" (SEO) and establishing the first Search Engine Marketing (SEM) agency practice, has joined YouInWeb, a technology company which offers scalable local search visibility for small and medium size businesses, as Chief Marketing Officer effective immediately.

Heyman co-founded Cybernautics, an early Internet agency that provided "audience development" services including search marketing and social media for clients like Avon, Intel, SGI, Bristol-Myers Squibb, REI, Harley Davidson, Sony and Sothebys. Cybernautics was acquired by USWeb where Heyman served as VP, Audience Development. He is the co-author of five best-selling Internet marketing books. The two most recent, published by the American Management Association (AMA) are "Digital Engagement" and "Marketing By The Numbers." He was Chief Search Officer at Mediasmith where his clients included Napster, Trend Micro and World Vision. Other marketing clients have included IBM, ABC, and NEC. He writes for MediaPost publications and for Search Engine Land and is a frequent speaker at events such as Search Engine Strategies and Search Insider Summit.

YouInWeb CEO Telemaco Barnabei said, "Bob will be leading our expansion into white label channel partner marketing as we bring our technology to the 29 million small- and medium-sized businesses in the US. His expertise is a natural fit with YouInWeb's industry- leading patent-protected local visibility technology. We are excited about what we can accomplish together."

"We built this platform from the ground up based on local link building strategies with a proprietary local content section that our clients embed on their landing page," said YouInWeb's Chief Technology and Operating Officer, Andreas Hjelming.

"What YouInWeb brings to the table is really the 'holy grail' of local search," says Heyman. He adds, "Their technology enables all companies to escalate their local search ranking. The YouInWeb technology works more quickly than SEO has typically taken to be effective -- it's cost-efficient, automated, long-lasting and totally 'white hat.' This is the search product that companies have been waiting for."

YouInWeb® is based in San Francisco and was founded by a seasoned team of engineering and sales professionals experienced with Internet start-ups. YouInWeb has built out the next-generation local web visibility product with excellent proven results. www.youinweb.com
