Protiviti Promotes Brian Christensen to Executive Vice President

MENLO PARK, Calif., Feb. 14, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Protiviti (www.protiviti.com), a global consulting firm, is pleased to announce that Brian Christensen has been promoted to executive vice president and global leader of the firm's Internal Audit and Financial Controls solution. In this role, he is responsible for the development and execution of Protiviti's internal audit offerings. Christensen now reports directly to Protiviti president and CEO Joseph Tarantino.

Christensen, a founding managing director of Protiviti when it was formed in 2002, has held various leadership roles in the firm's solution and operation groups prior to his new responsibilities. He has more than 25 years of experience in helping clients increase the value of their internal audit function. This includes overall responsibility for internal audit efforts ranging from co-sourcing to full outsourcing relationships, and communication with management and audit committees around assessing and managing business risk.

Christensen was a partner with Arthur Andersen prior to joining Protiviti. He holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and is a Certified Public Accountant. He is a frequent speaker on auditing and risk topics at national conferences. Christensen is a member of The Institute of Internal Auditors and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He resides in Phoenix, Arizona.
