GUELPH, Ontario, Feb. 14, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- W2 Energy, Inc. (Pinksheets: wtwo.pk) is pleased to announce that Maine BioEnergy has signed an agreement with the Lake Region Vocational Center (http://lakeregion.mainecte.org/news/) of Naples, Maine to establish the Renewable Energy Education Program (REEP).

As part of the REEP program, Lake Region Vocational Center (LRVC) students will help test and install the WaterHelix and SEGS unit on Maine BioEnergy's hydroenergy site in Naples, Maine. This test site will provide vital 3rd party validation of the performance of W2 Energy's hydrokinetic technology - the WaterHelix for power production and the SEGS for power offtake.

LRVC students will also participate in Maine BioEnergy's nationwide public relations campaign featuring renewable energy projects in Maine. Selected LRVC students will be offered internships and possibly paying jobs with Maine BioEnergy.

"We are thrilled to be working with Maine BioEnergy on the Renewable Energy Education Project," says Rosie Schacht, Director of Lake Region Vocational Center. "Our kids will gain valuable work experience in both entrepreneurship and renewable energy. Maine BioEnergy will benefit from our enthusiastic, environmentally-minded students."

"Maine BioEnergy's collaboration with the LRVC and its students will demonstrate the ability of the WaterHelix and SEGS technologies to provide cost-effective hydrokinetic power for run-of-river applications worldwide," says Mike McLaren, President and CEO of W2 Energy.

W2 Energy trades in the United States on the OTC market under the symbol "WTWO."
