San Diego Ad Club Presents the 2012 ADDYs Creative Show Gala at Anthology March 2

The Event Will Honor the Super Greatness of San Diego's Advertising Industry

San Diego Ad Club will bring together the super heroes in San Diego's advertising community for the 2012 ADDY Gala on March 2. ADDY's Award winners and People's Choice Awards will be presented and the new super heroes will be inducted into the Super ADDY Justice League.

The ADDY's are the advertising industry's largest and most representative competition attracting over 50, 000 entries every year from across the United States. The prestigious Paula E. Sullivan Outstanding Achievement Award will be presented to Ron Miriello, Miriello Grafico along with the 1st annual Sheila Fox Scholarship, $5,000.00 will be awarded to a deserving advertising student.

Back by popular demand Sam Zien, the face and talent of Sam The Cooking Guy, will MC the Super Hero themed evening. The night will conclude with an opportunity to mix and mingle with San Diego's most creative at the ADDY After Party, starting at 9:00p.m.

"The ADDYs Gala is the advertising industry Oscar night. It's a celebration of the outstanding work being done here in San Diego for clients and brands around the world. It's always inspiring to see the awesome talent and creativity of our community," said Sheila Fox, Executive Director of the San Diego Ad Club.

The San Diego ADDY® Awards is the first of a three-tier, national American Advertising Federation (AAF) competition. San Diego Gold winners are forwarded to the AAF District 15 (Southern Nevada and Southern California) to compete. District winners are then forwarded to the third tier, the national ADDY® Awards competition.

Selection of the most creative entry in each category is effected by a scoring process in which a panel of judges evaluates all creative dimensions of every entry. In each category, a GOLD ADDY® is recognition of the highest level of creative excellence and is judged to be superior to all other entries in the competition. The number of awards given in each category is determined by the judges, based on the relative quality of work in that category.

The Student ADDY Awards is also a three-tier national competition, which is sponsored by the AAF and National Ad 2. Occurring in conjunction with the prestigious ADDY Awards, the Student ADDY Awards recognize and reward creative excellence by students.
