GATE Technologies, LLC Paving the Way for the Secondary Trading of Limited Partnership Interests

Over the past year GATE Technologies, LLC has advocated on behalf of investors and supported legislation in Congress to change US regulations that apply to the trading of illiquid securities. GATE's efforts on behalf of investors have continued with an effort to change regulations that apply to the transfer of illiquid assets in secondary markets.

In a letter to Deputy Secretary of the Treasury, Neal Wolin, GATE Technologies CEO, Vincent Molinari discussed Treasury Regulation which impairs the trading of limited partnership interests on a secondary market. Mr. Molinari said, "In an effort similar to GATE's approach regarding the SEC (and the regulations surrounding the 500 shareholder rule and its unintended consequences), GATE has written to the US Treasury regarding the regulations governing the transacting of limited partnership interests as it relates to safe harbor rules and trading in secondary markets. We strongly believe LP interests and their ability to become liquid are conduits to alternative funding that lead to job creation and economic recovery."
