Haynes will discuss the concept and merits of officer-worn video and why it is becoming required among a rapidly growing number of police departments across the United States.

The session will highlight the advantages of officer-worn video including:

  • Capturing evidence from the officer's point of view
  • Capturing digital evidence of things not seen as clearly with other capture devices.
  • Improved training
  • Protection from frivolous law suits

When: Thursday, Feb. 23, 2012 from 9:45 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Where: IWCE, Las Vegas Convention Center, Room S233

VIDMIC will be demonstrating its groundbreaking new body-worn video system, the VIDMIC VX2 at IWCE booth #8133. The VX2 is the next generation of officer-worn video that integrates video, audio and view screen into an officer's shoulder microphone. The VX2 is made in the USA and includes a longer battery life, increased storage capacity with 8 to 32GB, larger viewing screen, several optional upgrades, better video capture in low light situations, and many other new features.

The IWCE conference offers government agencies, public safety professionals, enterprise users, wireless service providers, IT professionals and dealers the ability to learn about all aspects of convergent communications.
