Veterinarian in Ontario Launches New Website

Firth Veterinary Hospital in London, ON announced that the practice has launched a new website, http://www.firthvet.com. New website features include a "Veterinary Topics" library, blog, and "New Patient Center." The veterinary hospital provides full-service pet care for companion animals, including vaccinations, spay and neuter operations, annual wellness exams and surgical care. The new site is designed to enhance communication with patients by providing educational resources on pet health care.

Dr. Peter Firth, a veterinarian in Ontario, when commenting on the new website said, "Many pet owners are surprised to learn that a pet ages five to seven times faster than a human," said Dr. Firth. "This is just one reason why regular, preventative care is so important to protecting your pet's well-being. As a veterinarian, I'm committed to educating pet owners about veterinary health. Our new website is a great asset to this mission."

In keeping with this mission, the new website features a "Veterinary Topics" wellness library. Topics include tips for grooming and obedience as well as how to recognize the symptoms of illness in a pet. A video newsroom features short video clips on everything from at-home dental care to laser therapy.

"From at-home care to veterinary health techniques, the Veterinary Topics library is a great resource for answering any pet health question," said Dr. Firth. "There's a lot of pet care information available online, but not all of it is up to date or accurate. The website is a safe, trusted resource for our pet owners to use any time of the day or night."

The website's new veterinary blog is also a resource for pet owners to learn more about veterinary care. Dr. Firth will begin to regularly post blogs on pet care advancements or special services offered by the animal hospital.

"We encourage all pet owners to visit our blog and sign up for our e-newsletter," said Dr. Firth. "This is a great way to stay in touch with the vet clinic in between your pet's annual visits."

London, Ontario pet owners can also use the website to learn more about the different services available at the veterinary hospital. These include pet surgery, spay/neuter operations, vaccination protocols and wellness exams. The website also includes information for managing after-hours emergency animal hospital care, including the Goldstar After Hours Program for active clients.

"Our Goldstar clients have access to an on-call veterinarian 24 hours a day, 365 days a year," said Dr. Firth. "Goldstar members can learn more about these services through the 'Members Only' section of our website. Members can also access exclusive online information such as our nutritional counseling, grooming rewards and our members-only pet insurance and microchipping programs."

Pet owners who are new to the animal hospital can learn more about what to expect during their first visit through the website's "New Patient Center." Pet owners can fill out veterinary health forms in advance of their first visit, learn more about payment options and even use the online appointment request form to schedule a visit.
