New JavaScript Tutorial Provides Building Blocks for Interactive Website Development

San Francisco, CA, February 01, 2012 --(PR.com)-- As part of its aggressive expansion plan, HTML.net, the premier online destination for accessing tutorials on web development, has just launched its latest free tutorial -- this time on JavaScript. JavaScript is a lightweight, easy to learn, scripting language. It's used on almost every website to respond to user actions, validate web forms, detect browser support, and much more.

For some time, HTML.net has been gaining traction as a hotspot for students, hobbyists and entrepreneurs. They've particularly appreciated the site's free HTML and CSS tutorials and forums, where a host of experts regularly provide support, tips and suggestions. But thanks to the latest tutorials on PHP and JavaScript, HTML.net's target market extends to those who are poised to convert their simple sites into more complex ones that can collect information, sell products/services, sort material, create online communities and do other tasks, according to Andreas Astrup, founder/owner of HTML.net.

“Once a basic website is up and running, that's a great start, but it's often not enough,” he says. “Most of the activity going on with websites today calls for more advanced tools and features. The new tutorials empower people with the skills to address this need.”

With tutorials available in 11 languages, HTML.net delivers an understanding of how to create a basic site within about an hour's time. However, the JavaScript tutorial requires more time and patience, simply because it's more demanding to learn. Fortunately, users can go through the tutorial at their own pace and not worry about the money aspect of it, Astrup says.

“It shouldn't cost anything for someone to take the initiative to learn to make a website on their own and when it's convenient, and that's why HTML.net is user-friendly, accessible and free,” Astrup says. “That said, HTML.net is financed by an online advertising program, so we're now selling advertising space on the site to an audience that has lots of self-initiative, appreciates affordability, and is seeking smart solutions in today's sophisticated, high-tech world.”

HTML.net experiences an average of 500,000 user visits and almost 2 million page views per month. Additional visitor statistics and the media/advertising kit are available at http://www.html.net/about/advertise. Moreover, HTML.net provides guidance about how best to maximize visibility through a customized advertising strategy, and can help partners choose the best options for exposure.
