KCET Launches New Interactive Field Guide Series on Highland Park

Series features more than 20 field guides on history, food, art and recreation, providing an immersive 'tour' of one of LA's most eclectic, bohemian communities

Just in time for the warm weather, KCET, the nation's largest independent television station serving Southern and Central California, is pleased to launch KCET's Definitive Guide to Highland Park, a new interactive series featuring more than 20 different excursions to one of LA's most eclectic, bohemian communities.

Spanning a wide array of topics including, history, food, arts and recreation, the comprehensive field guide includes detailed mapping tools, a host of first-person interviews, as well as blogs, photos and imagery that will navigate visitors through the neighborhood's adventurous terrain.

The guides are suited for both individuals and families, and feature various culinary "must-tries," like taco tours down Figueroa andYork Blvd, local art galleries and weekend hikes through the lushSan Gabriel Mountains. In addition, the series hosts historical day trips with guides to some of the California Missions that played a major role in the establishment and influence of the Spanish Crown on the inhabitants of the Arroyo and surrounding areas.

KCET's Definitive Guide to Highland Park* is the second installment in the station's field guide series, which also includes a guide to theLos AngelesRiver and plans for several others as part of KCET's on-going commitment to provide local, cutting-edge content on all media platforms.
