"An Oklahoma state senator has introduced a bill that would ban the use of aborted human fetuses in the preparation of food.

State Sen. Ralph Shortey, R-Oklahoma City, said he introduced the bill to ban the production and sale of food using aborted human fetuses after his research indicated companies had used stem cells in developing food products, KRMG.com reported Friday." UPI

MSG in Chinese food, too much sugar in cereal, and God only knows what goes into hot dogs! Is any politician doing anything to make sure that our food is safe and nutritious?

Yes! Oklahoma State Senator Ralph Shortey, has introduced a bill to ban the production and sale of food items using aborted human fetuses. There are probably thousands of people vomiting as they read these words, they had no idea that what gave Doritos that zesty taste was aborted human fetuses.

We aren't living in a Soylent Green nightmarish world, no food product sold in the United States, or anywhere else in the world for that matter, has ever used aborted human fetuses or human stem cells.

Shortey was unable to provide the media with any examples of aborted fetuses being used in the production of food products. The brilliant logician argued: I don't know if it is happening in Oklahoma, it may be, it may not be. What I am saying is that if it does happen then we are not going to allow it to manufacture here.

By that same reasoning why not introduce a bill banning the production and sale of food using Big Foot road kill? I'm sure that the good people of Oklahoma will sleep well knowing that their hamburger meat doesn't contain ground up Big Foot.

Shortey introduced his bill to pander to the pro-life fanatics. But you argue: That's insane! That bill is patently ridiculous, and it will discredit anyone who supports it. Hello! The perfect way to appeal to a lunatic fringe group, is by proposing a lunatic bill. Shortey will probably be inducted in The Pro-Life Hall of Fame.
