At one time former Disney star Miley Cyrus was synonymous with wholesome family entertainment, but after being filmed smoking a bong and photographed licking a penis-shaped birthday cake she's lost that label forever.

Miley is following the template engraved by the likes of former child stars Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera. Once a female child star hits the magic age of 18, she sets out to prove that she's a big girl now by acting like an out-of-control slut.

I don't often agree with the religious right, but I'm with them on this one, but from a different perspective. Wouldn't it be nice if Miley proved that she was an adult by enrolling in college or working for a charitable organization? It's a sad indictment on our society that too many young girls feel a need to prove they are mature by acting immature and trading on their sexuality.

I'm a pop culture critic who takes a perverse delight in poking fun at bimbos like Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan; It's my calling in life. I refrained from criticizing Miley's pathetic singing skills and outrageous behavior when she was a child, but she's 19 now, and all bets are off.

Miley you are a disgusting little creature, grow up for heaven's sake.
