Singer Sewing Company to Launch The SINGER 160(TM) Limited Edition Sewing Machine on HSN

Created to Commemorate Its 160th Anniversary, Brand Will Unveil Easy-to-Use Machine With Antique-Inspired Design, Available at HSN and HSN.com Starting Jan. 26

To commemorate the SINGER® brand's 160th anniversary, Singer Sewing Company will launch the SINGER 160™ Limited Edition sewing machine with multi-channel retailer, HSN on January 26. A technologically advanced machine, it boasts innovative features, yet the design and appearance harkens back to the iconic SINGER® machines of years past. The antique-inspired machine is Singer Sewing Company's tribute to the brand's rich history and an opportunity to introduce the modern innovations of sewing to the next generation of sewers everywhere.

On August 12, 2011, the SINGER® brand launched http://www.mySINGERstory.com, which invites people to learn historic information about their vintage or antique sewing machines and share their own stories about the SINGER® brand and sewing. More than 2,000 stories have been submitted from all 50 states and people from 170 countries have visited mySINGERstory.com. The site also includes a function to look up historical information about vintage or antique SINGER® sewing machines. Known as the "Gateway to Sewing," the SINGER® brand is synonymous with "sewing made easy." The SINGER® brand's celebration will continue through August 2012.
