Connections Housing "Construction Kick-off"

SAN DIEGO, Jan. 24, 2012 /PRNewswire/ --

    WHAT:   San Diego's downtown homeless population will be one step closer to
            permanent housing with the construction launch of Connections
            Housing on January 26 at 10:00 a.m. The event will be held on the
            roof of the parking structure at the corner of 6th and A Street
            (1250 6th Avenue, San Diego, CA 92101).  Please enter off A Street.
            Speakers include:
            The Honorable Jerry Sanders, Mayor, City of San Diego The Honorable
            Kevin Faulconer, Council President Pro Tem, City of San Diego The
            Honorable Todd Gloria, Councilmember, City of San Diego
            They will join leaders from project partners Affirmed Housing Group,
            Family Health Centers of San Diego, People Assisting The Homeless
            (PATH), and PATH Ventures.
            The renovations of the former World Trade Center will convert the
            aging building's interior office space into an integrated service
            and residential center aiming to end homelessness in San Diego.
            Construction is projected to be complete in December of 2012.
