WASHINGTON - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Pepco Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:POM) announced its subsidiary Delmarva Power

Delmarva Power signed a 20-year Power Purchase Agreement in 2008 for
land-based wind power as part of its renewable energy portfolio for
meeting Delaware's clean energy goals, which require 25 percent of the
company's energy supply to come from clean sources by 2025. The
38-megawatt Chestnut Flats wind farm is located in Logan Township, Blair
County, northwest of Altoona, Pa. The project features 19 wind turbines,
manufactured by Gamesa, each having two megawatts of rated capacity.
"The Chestnut Flats wind farm is the third of our land-based wind
procurements to come online," said Gary R. Stockbridge, Delmarva Power
Region President. "This is another example of working regionally to make
a difference in delivering clean, green energy. We support renewable
standards, and we recognize it takes a long-term plan to achieve these
ambitious goals."
Delmarva Power will purchase 100 percent of Chestnut Flats' output.
