High Yield Dividends Index Adds UBSI to Its Top 60
WASHINGTON & CHARLESTON, W.Va. - (BUSINESS WIRE) - United Bankshares, Inc. (NASDAQ: UBSI), today announced that it has been
added to the S&P High Yield Dividends Aristocrats
Index, which measures the performance of the 60 highest dividend
yielding S&P Composite 1500 Index constituents that have
increased dividends every year for at least 25 consecutive years. United
is one of only two major banking companies in the U.S. to have achieved
such a record.
"2011 marks the 38th consecutive year of dividend increases to United
shareholders and demonstrates a long history of strong financial
