Sparks Fly for Ottawa's Biggest Summer Party: Taylor Swift Tops Star Studded Capital Hoedown 2012 Line-up

Concert International, Inc. proudly announced an incredible entertainment lineup for the 3rd Annual Capital Hoedown, making it one of the largest country music festivals in North America.

Following two successful years, Capital Hoedown Country Music Festival has branded itself as one of the premium country music festivals in North America. Recognized internationally for presenting the best of the best in country music, Capital Hoedown continues to promote Ottawa and the national capital region as a must "go to" destination for live entertainment.

The star-studded lineup of artists performing at Capital Hoedown on August 10, 11, and 12 includes super star Taylor Swift, along with Reba, Brad Paisley, The Band Perry, Ronnie Dunn, Terri Clark, Gord Bamford, Dean Brody, Tara Oram, Marshall Dane, Chad Brownlee and High Valley. Additional country music icons will be announced leading up to the festival.

"Our musical line-up will appeal to the new country, traditional and adult contemporary fan and further enhance the City of Ottawa and Capital Hoedown Music Festival on the national and international map." says Denis Benoit, President and CEO of Concert International. "Capital Hoedown has Taylor Swift's only scheduled North American concert in 2012. Having Taylor join the schedule is a major coup for the festival."

Concert International together with the City of Ottawa is proud to announce the new venue - Walter Baker Park in Ottawa (Kanata), Ontario. The 2012 edition of Capital Hoedown is expected to easily double in attendance. In 2010, Capital Hoedown saw over 19,000 festival goers and over 47,000 fans enjoyed the festival the following year.

"I am really excited to have Capital Hoedown at Walter Baker Park and I would like to extend my appreciation to the City Staff who came together to make this happen," said Kanata South Councillor Allan Hubley. "I am looking forward to working with Concert International to deliver a successful event that will help promote Kanata South as a fun place to live, work and play."

With the new location at Walter Baker Park, and over 40,000 people anticipated per day, tickets are expected to be a hot commodity. With only 4,000 VIP passports available, the VIP sections are expected to sell out immediately.

3-day Crazy Horse VIP Corral, 3-day Front & Centre VIP, and 3-day general admission passports for Capital Hoedown 2012 are available starting at 10AM on Saturday, November 26th through www.CapitalHoedown.net.
